Crownz Pool app – Privacy policy

Crownz Pty Ltd ("Crownz", "we") runs the Crownz Pool app and app.crownz.com.au. The app is for Crownz staff to run pool service jobs. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

Staff account details: name, work email, role and password (stored only as a secure hash).
Job records you create: job notes, water test results, products used, times on site, and photos you take of pools and equipment.
Customer records: names, addresses, phone numbers and emails of Crownz customers, entered by Crownz staff to deliver the service.
Device information: a push notification token for your device, so we can tell you about jobs assigned to you and accepted quotes.
Photos and camera: the app uses the camera or photo library only when you choose to add a job photo.

We do not collect your location in this version of the app. We do not use advertising, analytics trackers, or sell or share data for advertising. We do not track you across other apps or websites.

How we use it

To schedule and complete jobs, send service reports, quotes and invoices to customers, notify staff about their jobs, keep business and tax records, and keep the app secure.

Who we share it with

Only service providers that help us run the business: DigitalOcean (hosting, Australia/Singapore), Xero (accounting), Shopify (products and stock), Apple (push notification delivery) and our email and SMS providers. They may only use the data to provide their service to us.

Storage and security

Data is sent over encrypted connections and stored on secured servers with backups. Access is limited to authorised Crownz staff.

How long we keep it

Staff accounts are kept while you work with Crownz or until you delete your account. Job, invoice and safety records are kept for at least 7 years to meet Australian tax and business record law.

Deleting your account

In the app, go to My account, then Delete my account. This deletes your login and device tokens straight away. Business records you worked on are kept as described above. You can also email us to ask for deletion.

Access and correction

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you. Customers can contact us the same way.
